Bank Holiday Easter Weekend

It’s been a fantastic Easter Weekend, even though the weather hasn’t been fantastic. It makes such a nice change to have 4 days off from work and to be able to do as little or as much as I like. As Team Turney & Dave we were hoping to reach the 100 geocache finds milestone this weekend but I’m not sure that’s going to be possible as we still have another 27 to find in 1 day!!!
On Friday Dave and myself went caching to Tring Reservoir, we grabbed a FTF on Saturday on our way to Berkhampstead and then today just done some local caches. The rest of the team are away in Weymouth at the moment but have also managed to fit a few caches in.

Today Dave and I had our 1st BBQ of 2010, ok the weather wasn’t scorching but it was still sunny enough to have a picnic blanket out and cook some burgers and sausages :) . I can’t wait for the summer to come and I’m really hoping that the weather picks up in the next few weeks ready for our camping trip to Cornwall.

Back from Iceskating.

I’ve just got back from iceskating at Planet Ice, MK with my mum. It was nice to go skating during the day with my mum as we haven’t been for ages. It’s normally pretty quiet during the day but it must be half term for some of the schools as there were quite a few children there.
I managed to get to watch Alexandra Schauman from Dancing on Ice practising her routine to “Footloose”. They did some pretty amazing lifts and spins.

Today I was practising my 3 Jumps also know as Waltz jump, 1 foot tea pot and my rotating drags.   Tomorrow I had a private coaching session where I will be practising my Salchow jump, arghh scary stuff!!

A funfilled weekend :)

This weekend has many consisted of going to the gym and geocaching, not that I’m complaining as I’ve loved every minute of it. Tonight i’ll be chilling out to watch the Dancing on Ice 2010  final :) . I’m sad that the series has come to the end as it’s been a really enjoyable one. I love watching Torvil & Dean skate every week and enjoy checking out the costumes the celebs and pro’s wear. I think Hayley has been an amazing skater but would really like to see Keiron Richardson win as I think he has a lot more skating skills than Hayley.  I’m currently working on my NISA Silver single skating award.  It’s great fun but rather challenging.  On Tuesday during my coaching session I will be learning my salchow jump.

Anyway I’ve got a ton of geocaches to log that we’ve found over the weekend so must head off and do that :)

WOO HOO 1st Camping trip of the year booked :)

Yay I’ve just booked my 1st camping trip of 2010. Were going to Trevornick in Cornwall for 5 nights in May :) I’m really looking forward to the trip although I’m not quite sure how I’m going to fit all of the camping gear into my car as I have a rather large Vango Amazon 600 Tent  :)

Whilst we are in Cornwall were hoping to be able to fit ina bit of surfing and maybe even some geocaches, although there doesnt seem to be that many geocaches located near the campsite.

Has spring finally arrived??

I doubt it very much that spring has arrived, but the last 2 days have been pretty nice weather. I’m hoping that the weather is gonna hold out as I brought a book off amazon trade: 50 great walks in Surrey, and was hoping to maybe fit a nice walk in after I finish work on Saturday. I’m hoping that if I do get to go walking that I may even find a geocache along the way.
Talking of geocaching, I’ve had a lot of email notifications recently of new cache listings. Sadly none of them have been for the London area but back in Bedfordshire. Why is it that whenever I’m back at my parents and would be able to go geocaching that no new caches ever get listed but the minute I come back to London they get published. Sod’s Law I say :(
I really hope that the weather turns warmer and drier soon as I need to do a fair few car boot sales as I have soooo much stuff to sell. I think if I dont have a car boot sale soon then my flat will actually explode. It cant possible hold any more.
Anyway I’m going to go now and read my lastest book that I’m reading called Dewey, it’s about a cat that lives in a library….. um why does that story sound familiar. Rita my cat used to live at a swimming pool. xx

BRAND NEW PRODUCTS ON THE GEOCACHING SHOP www.thegeocachingshop.com

As many of you know I’m very much hooked on geocaching since I was introduced to it nearly a year ago. I recently placed 12 geocaches of my own and have had great pleasure in reading the logs published on www.geocaching.com. I feel now that after moving on many different travelbugs and coins of my own that is time to release some of my own. I think the cute little frog is winning my vote at the moment.
